New laws came in to operation from the 1 January 2014 and so far it appears the impact has been minimal, however, we are still in the early stages of the new year and most employees are still in good spirits and a lot of people are still on leave, expectations are that this may change in early February when all employees have returned and the new year hangover sets in, so use this time wisely to ensure your systems and processes are in place (if you haven’t already done so).

To ensure you are protected employer’s need to ensure their policies and procedures are up to date and all Manager’s, Supervisor’s, Team Leaders etc are trained in these procedures and processes and this training must be completed by an outside source.
